Questions and answers

What people ask us in the chat every day: what excursions cost, what the price already covers, when the hotel pickup is and what happens if there is a storm on the day. No answer here? Write to a manager — they are in Phuket and reply around the clock.

Booking and payment

How to send a request, when we reply and what happens to your money.

How do I book an excursion?

Fill in the form on the excursion page — your name, phone or messenger, the date and the number of people. A manager contacts you, confirms the places and sends the pick-up details. If you prefer to chat, message us on WhatsApp or Telegram: we will take the booking right in the chat.

When do you confirm a booking?

During working hours — within 15 minutes; a request sent at night is confirmed in the morning. The manager writes to the messenger you gave in the form with the pick-up time and the meeting point. Until you have the confirmation, the booking is not final.

Do I need to pay in advance?

No. We hold the places on request and take payment on the day of the excursion — in cash in baht or by transfer. For some programs with limited places (the Similans in high season, a whole-yacht charter) the operator asks for a deposit to confirm the booking; the manager will tell you before you agree to the date.

How far ahead should I book?

From November to March the popular trips sell out 2–3 days ahead, the Similans a week ahead. The rest of the year booking by 18:00 the day before is usually enough. If there are places left, we will take a booking even on the morning of the trip — for group sea programs this works more often than you would think.

Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?

Yes. Cancelling by 18:00 the day before is free, and so is moving to another date if it has places. A later cancellation follows the terms of the specific program: two-day trips and yacht charters have stricter terms than a group sea excursion. All the deadlines are on the “Refund policy” page.

What currency and how do I pay?

The main currency is the Thai baht, in cash or by transfer. By arrangement we accept a transfer in roubles at the rate on the day of payment. The manager sends a receipt or a voucher listing the services to the chat; there are no extra payments to the guide on the spot.

Prices and what is included

What Phuket excursions cost, what the price already covers and what is charged on the spot.

How much do excursions in Phuket cost?

A group sea excursion to the islands costs roughly 1,500 to 3,000 ฿ per person, sightseeing tours of the island are cheaper, and two-day programs with an overnight stay go up to 7,500 ฿. A private trip and a boat rental are priced for the whole group. All catalogue prices, with the child rate, are in the price list.

What is included in the price?

Transfer from the hotel and back, a Russian-speaking guide, insurance, water, lunch as per the program and national park fees where the route requires them. The exact list is in the “What’s included” block on the excursion page, together with what is paid separately.

Are there extra charges on the spot?

The price on the site is final. Only personal expenses are paid separately: souvenirs, drinks outside the program, diving gear rental, photos from the boat photographer. If a national park fee is not included, the program description says so before you book — you do not hear it for the first time at the pier.

Is it cheaper than the hotel or beach tour desk?

Yes, usually by 20–40%. We sell at the tour operator’s prices, without the hotel’s or a street agent’s mark-up. It is easy to check: ask the reception for the price of the same program with the same operator and compare it with the price list.

How much is an excursion for a child?

The child rate applies to children aged 4–11 and is usually 20–30% below the adult price. Children under 4 travel free, without a seat of their own. The exact child price is on the page of each program and in the price list.

Is there a discount for a group?

From 8 people we price separately: it is often cheaper to take a whole boat or minivan than seats in a group. Send the manager your group size and dates — we will send prices for both options so you can compare.

How to choose an excursion

What to see on a first visit, how the islands differ and when a private program is worth the extra money.

What excursions do you have?

Sea trips to the islands, sightseeing tours of Phuket, evening and night programs, shows, fishing, jet skis and diving, yacht and catamaran rental. Formats: group trips, mini-groups of up to 10 people and private excursions with your own guide and transport.

What should I see on my first visit to Phuket?

The classic set for a week: one sea trip to the islands (Phi Phi or James Bond), a sightseeing tour with the Old Town, the Big Buddha and the viewpoints, and one evening at a show. Leave a rest day between sea trips: they start early, and the sea makes you more tired than you expect.

Phi Phi or the Similans — which should I choose?

Phi Phi means cliffs, lagoons and the famous Maya Bay; you can go all year round, and it is always busy. The Similans are about the water and snorkelling: better visibility, livelier reefs, but the park is open only from 15 October to 15 May and the trip takes longer. If you have only one trip and small children, choose Phi Phi.

How is a group excursion different from a private one?

A group sea program has 25–40 people on a big boat, a fixed route and timing, and a price per seat. A mini-group has no more than 10. A private excursion is just you and your companions: you share the boat or the car with no one, choose the stops and times yourself and pay for the whole program.

What is there to see besides the sea?

A sightseeing tour of the island: the Old Town with its Sino-Portuguese streets, the Big Buddha, Wat Chalong temple, the Samet Nangshe viewpoint at sunrise. Separately — elephant sanctuaries, water parks, ziplines and evening shows. For families with children it saves the day when the sea is stormy.

How many excursions should I take on a holiday?

Two or three are comfortable for a week: two sea trips in a row wear out even adults. For ten days — four or five, with a rest day in between. Plan the sea programs for the start of your holiday: if a day is cancelled because of the weather, you still have time to reschedule.

On the day of the excursion

Pickup times, what to bring and what happens if the weather turns.

How do I find the meeting point, and is there a transfer?

Transfer from the hotel and back is included in most programs. The evening before, the manager sends the pick-up time and the meeting point — usually your hotel lobby. Patong, Karon, Kata, Bang Tao and Rawai are within the free transfer zone; for a hotel outside it we tell you the pick-up price in advance.

When is the pick-up and when do we get back?

Sea trips start early: the car arrives between 6:30 and 8:00, and you are back at the hotel between 17:00 and 19:00, depending on the program and the traffic on the way to the pier. Sightseeing tours of the island start later. The exact pick-up time for your hotel comes the evening before.

What should I bring?

Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, cash for personal expenses and your passport or a copy — it is sometimes checked on trips to national parks. Closed shoes are more comfortable: flip-flops are slippery on piers and rocks. Snorkelling masks and vests are handed out on board.

What if the weather turns bad?

The captain decides on the morning of the excursion whether to go to sea, and in a storm the port closes to all boats. If the trip is cancelled, you move the date at no extra cost or cancel and pay nothing. A short shower is not a reason to cancel: in season it passes in half an hour.

Will I get seasick on the boat?

A speedboat bounces noticeably, especially on the open-sea crossing; a big boat rocks more gently, but the trip is longer. If you get travel-sick, take a pill half an hour before departure, sit closer to the stern and look at the horizon. Tell the manager — we will pick a program with a short crossing.

What if we are late for the pick-up?

Call the manager at once; the number is in the confirmation. The driver waits at the hotel for 10 minutes — then leaves on the route, otherwise the group misses the boat. If you are only a little late, we can usually get you to the pier in a separate car at our own expense.

With children, friends or no experience

Who our programs suit and what to tell the manager in advance.

Can we go with children?

Yes, on most programs. Each excursion page says from what age we recommend it: children under 4 find long sea trips hard. Islands with a gentle entry into the water, sightseeing tours and mini-groups suit families better — fewer people and a calmer pace.

Is the excursion in Russian?

Yes. Every group excursion has a Russian-speaking guide, who also sorts out any issues on the spot. On private programs the guide stays with your group all day. An English-speaking guide or a guide in another language can be arranged on request if you let us know a few days ahead.

What if I cannot swim?

Everyone gets a life vest, and in it you can snorkel with a mask without being able to swim at all. The guide is in the water next to the group. The islands have waist-deep spots, and nobody makes you leave the boat either.

Are there health or age restrictions?

Speedboat trips are not recommended for pregnant women or people with back or heart problems — the ride over the waves is bumpy. Older travellers will find big boats and land programs suit them. Tell the manager what worries you, and they will suggest an easy route rather than talk you out of the trip.

What about food if I have dietary restrictions?

Lunch on the program is a buffet or a Thai set, usually with rice, chicken, fish and vegetables. A vegetarian option and food without chilli can be arranged in advance if you mention it when booking. Tell us about allergies too — once on the boat the dish can no longer be changed.

Destinations and season

Where we go, when the islands are closed and how to choose the month for your trip.

Which regions do your excursions cover?

Phuket and the whole Andaman Sea around it: Phi Phi, James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay, Racha and Coral, the Similans, Krabi. Two-day programs include Khao Sok with Cheow Lan Lake. We do not run excursions in Pattaya or Bangkok.

When are the Similans closed?

Similan National Park is open from 15 October to 15 May and is fully closed in summer — this is a decision of the Department of National Parks, not of the operator. The opening dates sometimes shift by a few days; we check them with the park before booking. In the closed season, Racha and Coral offer similar snorkelling.

Is the Big Buddha open?

After the landslide in August 2024 the access road to the statue and the site’s opening hours changed several times. We check the status for your date before the trip and tell you honestly: if access is closed, the sightseeing tour goes ahead with another stop instead of being cancelled. Ask the manager when booking.

When is the best time for excursions?

The high season is November to April: the sea is calm, cancellations are rare and underwater visibility is better. May to October is cheaper and less crowded, but sea trips are sometimes rescheduled because of the waves, and the Similans are closed. Rain in the low season is usually short and does not affect the program.

We are not staying in Phuket — can we join you?

Yes. For the Similan programs we pick up from Khao Lak — it is closer to the pier than Phuket. For trips to Krabi and Phi Phi a start from Krabi is possible. Send us the hotel name and the town: we will price the transfer and tell you where it is more convenient to start from.

What about elephants — do people ride them?

We work with sanctuaries where elephants are not ridden: the program is feeding, bathing and a walk alongside the animal. We do not sell elephant rides or put them in our routes. If your hotel offers that format, look at what the alternative looks like first.

Yachts, catamarans and jet skis

Renting a whole boat: what it costs, what is included and how a catamaran differs from a yacht.

How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Phuket?

The price is for the whole boat, not per person, and depends on the type and the length of the charter: half a day, a day or several days. It includes the crew, fuel for the route, water and ice; food and alcohol are optional. The prices of each boat are in the yacht catalogue, together with the number of guests.

A yacht or a catamaran — which should I take?

A catamaran is steadier on the waves, has more space for a group and is more comfortable for a family with children. A motor yacht is faster — you cover more islands in a day. If anyone in your group gets seasick, take the catamaran.

Can we celebrate a birthday or a wedding on a yacht?

Yes, it is a frequent request. We arrange decorations, a cake, catering and a photographer, and plan the route around the evening — a sunset in Phang Nga Bay, for example. Tell us the date, the number of guests and the budget: we will send two or three boat options with prices.

How do I rent a jet ski?

A jet ski is rented either by the hour on the beach or for an island tour with an instructor — the second format is more interesting and safer. No licence is needed; the briefing is given on the spot. Check the jet ski for scratches before you set off and film it: on Phuket’s beaches this is the only way to avoid disputes about damage afterwards.

The company and guarantees

Who we are, how we answer for your trip and what to do if something goes wrong.

Are you an official company or a reseller?

We hold a TAT licence from the Tourism Authority of Thailand; its number can be checked in the Authority’s register. We sell excursions directly from operators we work with ourselves, rather than reselling other people’s vouchers.

How safe is it on the water?

Life vests for every passenger, a first-aid kit and communication equipment on board, and a crew trained in safety. Life insurance of up to 100,000 dollars is included in the excursion price. In a storm the harbour authority closes the sea, and every operator obeys that decision without exception.

How do I reach you during the trip?

Our managers are in Phuket and answer in the messenger around the clock, including at night Thai time. You keep the number and the chat after the booking is confirmed: a question about a transfer, a delay or a change of program is settled in the chat, not through a call centre in another country.

What if I did not like the excursion or something went wrong?

Write to the manager the same day, while it is fresh: most issues are resolved on the spot — with another boat, a surcharge or a new date. If the problem remains, we take it up with the operator and refund the service that was not provided. We do not clean up the reviews on the site: negative ones are published too.

Are the reviews on the site real?

Yes. Reviews come from Google Maps and from the form on the site; each is checked for spam, but we do not edit or translate the text. The author and the date are shown, and the rating is not adjusted — the rating on the pages is calculated from real scores.
