General description
The Khao Lak Safari tour from Phuket is a full day trip towards Khao Lak and Phang Nga province. In one day you see the nature of southern Thailand, visit an unusual cave temple, ride a bamboo raft down a river, meet animals and finish at a waterfall. The program suits anyone who wants a break from beaches and islands and a greener, calmer, more natural side of Thailand.
During the excursion you get:
Sarasin Bridge
Wildlife rescue centre
Suwannakuha cave temple
Monkeys at the temple
Bamboo rafting
Elephant ride
Palm and rubber plantations
Bathing with elephants
Elephant show
Local turtles
Lunch in a Thai restaurant
Seasonal fruit and drinks

The first stop is the Sarasin Bridge, which links Phuket with mainland Thailand — a short photo stop before driving on to Phang Nga. The group then visits the Phang Nga Wildlife Animal Sanctuary, a rescue centre for wild animals, where you meet its residents and learn more about local wildlife and conservation work.
The route continues to Suwannakuha temple, often called the Monkey Temple. The temple sits in a cave and is known for its unusual atmosphere, Buddhist shrines and the monkeys that live nearby. It is one of the most characteristic stops of the Khao Lak Safari and a chance to see the cultural side of Phang Nga as well as its nature.
Then the more active part begins — bamboo rafting down the river. The route runs through tropical greenery and lets you take in the scenery from the water at an easy pace. After the bamboo rafting the program moves to the elephant area, with an elephant ride through palm and rubber plantations, bathing with the elephants and a show. Local turtles can also be seen here.
Lunch is served at midday in a local Thai restaurant, with Thai dishes, seasonal fruit and drinks included. After lunch the route continues to a waterfall, the last natural stop of the tour, where you can rest, cool off and take photos against the rainforest.
The Khao Lak safari from Phuket combines several kinds of experience: animals, a temple, nature, bamboo rafting, elephants, local food and a waterfall. It is a good choice for anyone looking for a one-day land tour from Phuket who wants to see the natural side of Khao Lak and Phang Nga, not just the tourist one.

What people say about our excursions
We will make your day in Phuket worthy of a magazine cover
Fill in the form on the excursion page — your name, phone or messenger, the date and the number of people. A manager contacts you, confirms the places and sends the pick-up details. If you prefer to chat, message us on WhatsApp or Telegram: we will take the booking right in the chat.
When do you confirm a booking?
During working hours — within 15 minutes; a request sent at night is confirmed in the morning. The manager writes to the messenger you gave in the form with the pick-up time and the meeting point. Until you have the confirmation, the booking is not final.
Do I need to pay in advance?
No. We hold the places on request and take payment on the day of the excursion — in cash in baht or by transfer. For some programs with limited places (the Similans in high season, a whole-yacht charter) the operator asks for a deposit to confirm the booking; the manager will tell you before you agree to the date.
How far ahead should I book?
From November to March the popular trips sell out 2–3 days ahead, the Similans a week ahead. The rest of the year booking by 18:00 the day before is usually enough. If there are places left, we will take a booking even on the morning of the trip — for group sea programs this works more often than you would think.
Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?
Yes. Cancelling by 18:00 the day before is free, and so is moving to another date if it has places. A later cancellation follows the terms of the specific program: two-day trips and yacht charters have stricter terms than a group sea excursion. All the deadlines are on the “Refund policy” page.
What currency and how do I pay?
The main currency is the Thai baht, in cash or by transfer. By arrangement we accept a transfer in roubles at the rate on the day of payment. The manager sends a receipt or a voucher listing the services to the chat; there are no extra payments to the guide on the spot.
How much do excursions in Phuket cost?
A group sea excursion to the islands costs roughly 1,500 to 3,000 ฿ per person, sightseeing tours of the island are cheaper, and two-day programs with an overnight stay go up to 7,500 ฿. A private trip and a boat rental are priced for the whole group. All catalogue prices, with the child rate, are in the price list.
What is included in the price?
Transfer from the hotel and back, a Russian-speaking guide, insurance, water, lunch as per the program and national park fees where the route requires them. The exact list is in the “What’s included” block on the excursion page, together with what is paid separately.
Are there extra charges on the spot?
The price on the site is final. Only personal expenses are paid separately: souvenirs, drinks outside the program, diving gear rental, photos from the boat photographer. If a national park fee is not included, the program description says so before you book — you do not hear it for the first time at the pier.
Is it cheaper than the hotel or beach tour desk?
Yes, usually by 20–40%. We sell at the tour operator’s prices, without the hotel’s or a street agent’s mark-up. It is easy to check: ask the reception for the price of the same program with the same operator and compare it with the price list.
How much is an excursion for a child?
The child rate applies to children aged 4–11 and is usually 20–30% below the adult price. Children under 4 travel free, without a seat of their own. The exact child price is on the page of each program and in the price list.
Is there a discount for a group?
From 8 people we price separately: it is often cheaper to take a whole boat or minivan than seats in a group. Send the manager your group size and dates — we will send prices for both options so you can compare.
